About Ruben Cervantes Jr.
Ruben Cervantes Jr. is a passionate worship leader, theologian, and author with over 20 years of ministry experience, dedicated to hosting God’s presence in worship and proclaiming the Gospel of Christ’s Kingdom. His journey began with a personal call to repentance at fifteen, leading him to plant a church in high school and pursue a life of worship and ministry.
Throughout his career, Ruben has served in diverse roles, including co-founding Zion Church in 2007 and leading worship at significant events like the Asbury outpouring. He has traveled extensively, sharing the gospel through music and message, and released worship music, including Sanctify Us (LIVE) in 2024.
Ruben holds a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary, with a focus on revival and spiritual formation. He is committed to proclaiming the Gospel, emphasizing the centrality of Jesus and the purity of scripture in worship and teaching.
Currently, Ruben writes on Substack, teaching on revival, worship, and the Spirit-formed life. Through Anthem House, he fuels songwriting that reintroduces Jesus’ centrality to the church’s songs, fostering a community where Christian creatives thrive.
Living in Kansas City with his wife Elise and their four children, Ruben is dedicated to building a presence-centered worship community and taking this culture to the nations.
